Class Descriptions


Each 4-week session has a variety of exercise formats (see calendar for current schedule).  Classes are designed for pre- and post-natal women and are 50-55 minutes long. Each format includes appropriate modifications for pre- and post-natal women with a warm-up and cool-down. No previous experience is required, but you need your doctor's clearance. Pre-crawling babies are welcome to come and watch mom in every class and babysitting is available with reservations.

Circuit

During this 50-55 minute workout, stations are set up throughout the room.  Using hand weights, weighted bars, Bosu, medicine balls, and other equipment, we will strenghten the entire body.

Cycle Fusion

Cycle Fusion is 30-35 minutes of indoor cycling followed by 20 minutes of a second exercise format such as yoga, pilates, stretch or strength.  Indoor cycling is an excellent aerobic exercise option for pre- and post-natal women because it is easy on your joints and the bike is stationary so you do not have to worry about balance. Moms work at their own pace and fitness level.

Strength and Core

Strength and Core is a 50-55 minute workout that tones your entire body.  With the use of resistance tubing, hand weights, and your own body weight, we will work the entire body and pay special attention to the muscles that tend to weaken during pregnancy and post-partum (such as upper back, quads, gluts and abdominals).

Stability Ball

Stability Ball is a 50-55 minute workout using a stability ball to improve strength, flexibility, posture, balance and coordination. Using the stability ball may "help minimize and/or alleviate low back pain and sacroiliac joint problems".

Walk and Sculpt
Walk and Sculpt is a 50-55 minute workout where we head outdoors for some fun! Class includes brisk walking with short intervals of strength training with resistance tubing.  If you are post-natal, don't forget to bring the stroller!

Water Aerobics

Exercising in the pool is the perfect place for pre- and post-natal women! Get a great cardio and strength workout in 50-55 minutes. Being in the water makes you feel lighter due to the water's buoyancy. Water aerobics is low impact and helps relieve low back pain and swelling. Take the plunge and have fun.


Yoga/Pilates/Stretch

Yoga/Pilates/Stretch is a 50-55 minute workout that combines modified yoga and pilates exercises with stretching. Improve your balance and strengthen your entire body, while learning key pilates and yoga exercises to strengthen your pelvic floor and abdominals.The stretching portion focuses on muscles that tend to tighten during pre- and post-natal.

 

Post-Natal Boot Camp
Whether you want to shed those last few pounds of baby weight or just tone up, this class is for you. This 50-55c minute class will concentrate on cardio, core strength, and toning.

Stroller Moms
Grab your baby or tot and get ready to roll! Stroller Moms fitness classes are a great way to get in shape and have fun while meeting other moms. The one hour stroller class combines walking/jogging with strength intervals and abdominal work to tone your body. All fitness levels are welcome and resistance bands are provided. (Stroller moms is a separte class from Deliver Me Fit small group training-separate packages available for this class)
